DETROIT (WWJ) -- Residents of an east side Detroit neighborhood woke up Thursday morning to find about 20 vehicles parked along the street had been vandalized.

The incident took place outside a North End apartment complex at Brush Street and Holbrook Avenue, though it wasn’t clear if anything was stolen from the vehicles, which had their windows smashed in.

Police are currently investigating, and reportedly have a lead on the identity of the suspect thanks to a nearby Project Green Light location. As of this morning, no arrests have been made.

Meanwhile, residents say the problem is ongoing, and a similar situation occurred in the area in Feb. 2023. It is unknown if the acts of vandalism are linked.
