ROSEVILLE (WWJ) -- Another Chick-fil-A is open in Michigan.

Thursday, Oct. 3, marked the opening for the popular fast food chicken chain's new Roseville location, at 32061 Gratiot Ave. Gratiot Ave. near Masonic Ave.

The restaurant is located in the parking lot of Macomb Mall.

The franchise is owned by Josh Holbrooks, who helped open the Michigan's first Chick-fil-A location, in Traverse City.

The Roseville High School band and Varsity Cheer team were a part of the ribbon cutting ceremony on Wednesday.

The new Roseville location will be open 6:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Saturday for dine-in, drive-thru and carry-out service. All Chick-fil-A restaurants are closed on Sundays.

This will be far from the last new local location for this brand, as it appears Metro Detroit will have a couple of dozen more Chick-fil-A restaurant locations by the end of the decade.

The chain — known for its chicken sandwiches, crispy nuggets, tangy sauces and waffle fries — announced last month that 25 to 30 new locally-owned and operated restaurants are planned by 2028.

According to a news release, new locations are expected to open in Chesterfield Township, Taylor, and Fort Gratiot by this fall or winter. Other planned locations include a licensed location in the First National Building, as well as owner/operator locations in Detroit, Auburn Hills, Lincoln Park, Orion Township, Clinton Township, Canton and Ann Arbor.

With this week's new addition, Chick-fil-A now has has 28 restaurants in Michigan.
