OAK PARK (WWJ) -- An Oakland County gas station will be the hottest spot in Southeast Michigan for at least a few hours on Monday while it gives away free fuel.
The non-profit organization, Phophetic World Group, will be giving away $20,000 in free gasoline at the Shell Gas station, located at 13500 Eight Mile Rd., near Coolidge Highway.
This reason for the giveaway is an attempt to ease the pain at the pump for Michigan drivers.
Governor Whitmer will also be there alongside Eric Garner's mother, Gwen Carr. Garner was killed in a chokehold by New York City police in 2014.
The gas giveaway will begin at 2 p.m.
