Nonverbal child found alone on Detroit's west side early Tuesday has been reunited with her family

DETROIT (WWJ) -- There's good news about a nonverbal child found alone, out in the cold on Detroit's west side, early Tuesday morning.

The DPD shared a photo of the 10-year-old girl who was wandering in the area of Plainview and West Warren, wearing a blanket, and asked for tips to help get her home safe.

In an update, before noon, police said the child had been reunited with her family.

No further information was released.
