MISSAUKEE COUNTY (WWJ) -- A traffic stop in northern Michigan resulted in a sizable drug bust and the arrest of one woman.

A trooper from the Michigan State Police (MSP) Houghton Lake Post stopped a vehicle on M-55 Highway near S. Lachance Road in Lake Township on Dec. 2 around 9:30 p.m. for multiple violations.

As he approached the vehicle, the trooper noticed that the driver -- 41-year-old Terri Lanita Buley -- appeared to be nervous.

The trooper then noticed a clear bag sticking out of Buley's coat pocket that seemed to contain methamphetamine. A field test was performed, and the substance tested positive for the drug.

Authorities seized a total of seven ounces of methamphetamine from Buley, who was then arrested and taken to Missaukee County Jail.

She was arraigned on Dec. 3 in the 84th District Court in Missaukee County for one count Delivery/Manufacture Methamphetamine. Her bond was set at $50,000

Buley's next scheduled court appearance will take place on Thursday, Dec. 9.
