NOVI (WWJ) A Novi man has been slapped with federal charges in connection to storming the U.S. Capitol on January 6, 2021.
Trevor Brown, 29, is facing multiple charges including obstructing a police officer, disorderly conduct, violent entry on Capitol Grounds, and Parading/Picketing/Demonstrating in a Capitol Building. He appeared in Federal Court Friday.

The “Trevor Brown” Facebook page also indicated he got inside the Capitol—adding in his status he "almost died getting there.” The FBI said video footage backed up his admission.
“Trevor Brown” wrote the following day on the social media site: "This has nothing to do with Trump or Biden. People should be storming that Brothel we call the Capitol everyday for what goes on in there. It’s a Brothel and they sell you out everyday.... And that is the fault of the leadership on both sides....Today people are doing the right thing for those wrong reasons."

He was arrested the day of the protests.
“The officers placed BROWN in zip-tie handcuffs, escorted him through the Capitol Building into a police vehicle…” the report read.
However, police let him go later that day without filing charges.
Prior to the entering building; the report said Brown attempted to grab the shield of a Metropolitan Police Officer.
Brown is the 10th Michigan resident charged in connection with the January 6 insurrection at the U.S. Capitol. See the full list here.
He is slated to appear in Federal Court for a detention hearing on Tuesday.
