Oakland County SWAT Team involved in 3-hour standoff in Rochester

ROCHESTER (WWJ) -- A police situation in Rochester has ended safely.

For about three hours on Wednesday morning, the Oakland County Sheriff's Department SWAT Team was dealing with stand-off near Rochester and Tienken roads.

Police negotiators were also on scene, and the situation had been described as stable.

The person involved is said to have a history of mental illness.

There were no weapons or injuries reported and the person is currently receiving medical attention and other assistance.
