ROSEVILLE (WWJ) Roseville Police said a family dispute at Thanksgiving lead to a shooting at an apartment complex and a crash on I-94.
At least one person was killed as the events unfolded, police said.
Police said the suspect fired shots at the Meadows apartment complex on Nardelli near 13 Mile and Masonic around 4 p.m. Thursday, drove away from the scene and entered eastbound I-94 traveling in the wrong direction.
He struck at least three cars head-on in the area of I-94 and 12 Mile, police said.
Several people were injured. Their conditions are not known.
Witnesses reported one of the vehicles involved in the crash was carrying seven to nine children and multiple dogs.
I-94 at 12 Mile was closed for nearly 7 hours. Police have not released information about an arrest.
Police told WWJ one person was killed but it has not been confirmed whether they died in the shooting or the crash.
The victim has not been identified.
Michigan State Police are assisting Roseville Police to reconstruct the crash scene.
