(WWJ) A quadruple shooting on Detroit’s west side left one man dead and three injured.
Police say the four men (25, 32, 37, 46) were shot during a violent confrontation in the area of Marlowe and Midland on Thursday at 8:00 p.m.
The 25 and 32-year-old men are brothers. They confronted the 37-year-old for “allegedly physically assaulting their sister,” police said.
Gunfire broke out at some point during the fight. All three men were shot. A fourth man (46), who was at the scene, was also shot.
He is in stable condition.
The 37-year-old, also in stable condition, was arrested.
The 25-year-old is in critical condition. His 32-year-old brother died at the scene.
Many questions still remain about the incident, including the relationship, if any, between the brothers and the man who allegedly assaulted their sister.
The victims’ names have not been released. A shotgun was recovered at the scene.
Anyone who witnessed the shooting or who has any information is asked to call Detroit Police Homicide Task Force at 313-596-2260 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-Speak Up.
