YPSILANTI (WWJ) -- One person is dead after an early morning crash in Ypsilanti.
Hamilton Street at Harriet was closed for several hours Friday morning as crews worked to clear the crash, north of I-94.
According to the Washtenaw County Sheriff's Office, one person was killed and three people were briefly hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries.
Commander Eugene Rush told WWJ Ypsilanti Police officers responded to the scene at just before 1 a.m. on a report of a two-car crash.
"About the same time, we had deputies from the Washtenaw County Sheriff's Office that were coming through the area, and were able to start rendering aid," Rush said.
Rush said investigators don't yet know what caused the crash, and they are not releasing the identities of the victim at this time.
