OAKLAND COUNTY (WWJ) - One gunshot victim was listed in stable condition after he was shot during an argument in Metro Detroit Wednesday afternoon.
Officers from Oak Park Public Safety Department were first dispatched to a home on the 21000 block of Dartmouth around 3:30 p.m. Wednesday after a woman called asking for help in retrieving a cell phone.
The caller said she accidentally left the mobile device in a ride share vehicle the previous night.
While police were en route, an argument broke out between two men outside of the home and several shots were fired. The victim, a 22-year-old Oak Park resident, was struck by a bullet and taken to a local hopsital.
He is reported to be in stable condition.
Once officers got to the house, they observed the shooting suspect's vehicle leaving the area. Officers stopped the silver minivan and arrested the 21-year-old in connection with the shooting.
The case is now pending the Oakland County Prosecutor's review.
