COMMERCE TWP. (WWJ) -- One person is dead after a shooting at a bar and restaurant in Commerce Township Sunday night.

The Oakland County Sheriff's Office is investigating the incident at around 9:30 p.m. at Prime 7, located along Cooley Lake Rd. near Immenesee Rd.

WWJ Newsradio 950's Charlie Langton said some kind of dispute erupted at the business while people were gathered for a Detroit Lions game watch party at the bar. Shots were fired, and one person was killed.

Langton said the alleged shooter is believed to have turned himself in to the Farmington Hills Police Department, but we're still awaiting confirmation and more information about that suspect.

Todd Stoner, who books bands that play at the Prime 7 on Friday and Saturday nights, could hardly believe something like this happened there.

"Just a surprise shock," he told Langton. "This is my neighborhood; this don't normally happen."

Langton said there was blood visible outside the front doors of the restaurant, indicating that the shooting may have happened outside.

Sheriff's detectives remained on the scene investigating Monday morning.

No information has been released so far about the victim.
