RIVER ROUGE (WWJ) A pavement buckle is causing problems for drivers in River Rouge (SEE PICTURES BELOW).

Tipsters told WWJ the street buckled and cracked on Pleasant Street near Bassett, leaving several drivers stuck.

It appears similar to the pavement buckle in southwest Detroit earlier this year along Fort Street, but it's not clear if the two incidents are related. The ground giving way at Fort and Dearborn in September 2021 resulted in the demolishment of a local business.

Dearborn Street was eventually pushed up approximately eight to ten feet. More than 50 homes are in the area.
