
REDFORD TWP (WWJ) A pedestrian was struck and killed while crossing Telegraph in Redford Township, police said.
Redford Police said officers responded to the area of Telegraph and Midland on Saturday, December 28th, around 1:08 a.m.
Police said their investigation revealed the man, 62, was struck on southbound Telegraph. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with the investigation. Neither drugs nor alcohol are believed to be factors, according to police.
The Redford Township Police Department Traffic Bureau (RTPD) is looking into the possibility that a second vehicle struck the man and then fled the scene. At this time, they are uncertain whether a second vehicle was involved.
RTPD have identified the victim, but have not been able to locate next of kin. They said his identity will be released once his family is notified.
