WESTLAND (WWJ) - One person is dead after they were struck by a vehicle near a Westland Kroger on Tuesday night, police confirmed.
As reported by FOX2, the crash happened at the intersection of Michigan Avenue and Merriman Road sometime before 9 p.m. on March 19.
The victim was supposedly walking along the side of the road when they were hit. They were pronounced dead at the scene.
Police were reported at the location by FOX 2. At this time, details about how the crash occurred remain unknown. It is also unclear if the driver involved in stopped at the scene or took off.
Westland police told WWJ additional details could be released later on Wednesday.
