DETROIT (WWJ) -- A pedestrian was killed in a crash, Sunday afternoon on Detroit's east side.
According to investigators, the tragic incident happened at around 1 p.m. in the 3000 block of Van Dyke Ave., near Gratiot and north of E. Warren Ave.
Investigators said the at-fault driver involved hit two parked cars, and then one of those cars hit a man who was on foot, killing him.
One person was detained at the scene, police said, but officers were looking for two other people who possibly ran from the car.
At this time, it's unclear if alcohol or drugs were a factor, or what may have led to the crash.
No information has been released about the person who died, or the person detained, as the investigation continues.
