NEW HAVEN (WWJ) A pedestrian was struck by a train and killed in Macomb County.
The Macomb County Sheriff's Office said it happened during the night on Tuesday, June 24, on Victoria and Main Street in New Haven.
WWJ has only learned that a train struck a pedestrian, but the circumstances leading up to the crash remain unknown.
Authorities said ambulances, police and fire arrived at the scene. The area was closed down for several hours.
The name and the age of the victim were not released.
Sheriffs' officials told WWJ the road reopened shortly after 3:30 a.m. on Wednesday, June 25.
They said more details will be released as they become available.
