Like many businesses, beloved holiday candy Peeps struggled in 2020. The colorful marshmallow wasn’t sold for Halloween, Christmas, or Valentine's Day in 2020. However, Peeps announced recently that they will be returning in 2021, just in time for Easter.
When peeps first announced they would not be selling their beloved candies in 2020, they said it was in order to focus on making sure they were ready to go for Easter 2021. Now, it appears the plan worked, as the holiday candy will be back on shelves for holiday snacking. “Peeps is back and better than ever! We're thrilled to be returning this spring to fulfill special Easter traditions, no matter how you plan on celebrating this year. For nearly seven decades, Peeps Marshmallow Candy has been a quintessential Easter staple,” said Peeps Brand Manager, Caitlin Sevian.
While no decision on future holidays was announced, many are assuming this means Peeps will be back for the rest of the 2021 holiday schedule. Hopefully nothing prevents Peeps from missing out on any holidays in the future.
