Police looking for 'person of interest' in deadly downtown Detroit shooting

Detroit Police are asking for the public's help to locate a "person of interest" wanted in connection to a fatal shooting in the downtown area.


On Tuesday, Dec. 29, 2020, at around at around 9:40 p.m., a 44-year-old man was shot in the 4600 block of St. Antoine, in the area of E. Warren Ave. and I-75.

The victim, whose name has not been released, was taken by EMS to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The following day, police said the shooter was believed to be a 22-year-old man who opened fire during an argument with the victim,

Now police have released a photo of a man they want to speak to about the shooting. While they're not calling him a suspect at this time, police say the man may have been at the location at the time of the incident, and may be able to provide information to the investigators.
