MARSHALL (WWJ) – Police in Southwest Michigan are searching for the driver of a pickup truck who stole a mini-excavator from a road construction site.
It happened around 7 p.m. Monday at a site near the I-94/I-69 interchange near Marshall. Michigan State Police officials say someone driving a newer model black Dodge Ram crew-cab pulling a flatbed gooseneck trailer took the machine.
The suspect was last seen headed north on Old 27 Highway.
The mini-excavator is a yellow 2017 CAT 303.5 with rubber tracks and a small front bucket, according to MSP.
Anyone who knows something about the theft is being asked to call the MSP Marshall Post at 269-558-0500.
