CLINTON TOWNSHIP (WWJ) -- A scary situation in a Clinton Township neighborhood as a drug task force shuts down a lab that could've blown up homes.
Authorities responded to a tip that led them to the home on Cheryl Drive, near 14 Mile and Kelly on Tuesday afternoon.
Detectives used a search warrant to get into the home where they found a THC extraction lab using butane.
Fire officials say if the lab exploded, it would've damaged the garage and neighboring homes.
Ten marijuana plants and about 30 pounds of pot were taken from the home.
The owner was interviewed by Clinton Township police and released pending further investigation.
