INKSTER (WWJ) - Police have found the mother of a unidentified boy discovered playing naked and alone in Inkster on Wednesday morning.
The Inkster Police Department said they were able to locate the mother of a child who was found by a resident playing unclothed by himself in their yard around 9 a.m. on August 9.
Officers picked up the child from the property in the 3600 block of Hickory and searched the area looking for his parents or guardians, but were unsuccessful.
The child's age, name and other personal details were not released by police.
The department turned to the public for help and asked for those with information to come forward.
The circumstances surrounding why the child was naked and alone remain unknown at this time.
