DETROIT (WWJ) -- Investigators are searching for a pair of suspects wanted in the shooting of a man whose car broke down on Detroit's west side.

The 32-year-old victim survived the assault, early in the morning of Friday, April 19, at a gas station in the 25800 block of W. Outer Drive.


According to Detroit Police, the victim was in a gas station parking lot with his disabled vehicle when he was approached by two unknown men who demanded money.

When the victim tried to run away, one of the suspects fired shots, striking him in the body, police said.

The man was taken to a local hospital for treatment of his injuries.

Police on Wednesday released a surveillance photo showing the two suspects, wearing hoods and dark clothing.
