Officers respond to Trenton High School over anonymous threat; Students put on lockdown as police investigate

TRENTON (WWJ) -- A Downriver high school was put on lockdown, Wednesday afternoon, due to a threat.

Officers were on the scene at 2 p.m. at Trenton High School in Trenton, conducting an investigation after police say an anonymous threat was made toward the school.

Investigators said no one has been hurt, and there was no immediate danger to students or staff.

The lockdown was brief and students were released to their parents at the normal end-of-the-day release time.

No details were immediately released about the threat itself.

Trenton Police said they're working with the district to resolve the situation, and the investigation into the source of the threat is in its early stages.
