DETROIT (WWJ) -- Detroit police are asking for help from the community as they search for a teenage girl who disappeared a week ago on the city's west side.

According to investigators, 14-year-old Kai Elliot was last seen on Halloween — Tuesday, October 31 — at her home in the 15400 block of Marlowe, in the area of Finkell Ave. and Hubbell.


Police said the teen left the house without permission at around 5:35 p.m., and did not return.

Elliot is described as a Black female, 5'1'' tall and weighing 115-130 lbs., with bleached blonde hair and brown eyes.

She was last seen wearing a black hooded jacket, turquoise and blue jogging pants, and white and blue Nike tennis shoes.
