WIXOM (WWJ) The Wixom Police Department is searching for and asking for the public’s help to identify a suspect in a gas station robbery.
Wixom Police said they were called to the Chillbox Gas Station, on Grand River at Wixom Road, for a strong-arm robbery—a robbery that involves bodily injury or threat of bodily injury without a weapon present— on Saturday (December 21st) around 12:22 a.m.
According to police; the suspect, who wore a black Carthartt jacket, tan pants and Timberland boots, had fled the scene in a large black pickup truck by the time officers had arrived.
Officers canvassed the area and did not find him, police said.
He’s believed to be between 35 and 40 years old.
No information was released about what he took, or if anyone was injured during the robbery.
Officers obtained photos of him from the gas station security cameras. If you know who or where he is, please call Detective Sergeant Caldwell at (248) 624-6114 or DCaldwell@wixomgov.org.
