
(WWJ) Detroit Police are asking for the public's help to find an armed suspect wanted in an assault and shooting on the city’s west side.
One person was wounded in the incident at around 9:30 a.m. Monday, in the 12200 block of St. Mary’s, just sough of I-96.
According to investigators, the suspect -- identified as 30-year-old Donte Dio Anderson -- assaulted his 29-year-old ex-girlfriend, and took a gun from a relative.

It's alleged that Anderson then forced the victim into his white Jeep Compass. The relative went and grabbed another gun and both started firing shots. At some point, the victim was shot, police said.
The woman was able to get out of the Jeep before Anderson fled the scene.
She was treated at a local hospital for a non-life threatening injury, police said. No one else was hurt. .
On Tuesday, police were still looking for Anderson. They released a photo of the suspect and of his vehicle, hoping that someone in the public may have seen him.
