
DETROIT (WWJ) - Police in Detroit are looking to bring home a missing 37-year-old man living with mental illness and possibly carrying a weapon after he was last seen over a week ago.
Authorities said Edward Lechner disappeared after he was seen walking away from his home in the 20 block of W. Savannah around 9:40 a.m. on July 28 -- Lechner is a diagnosed Schizophrenic and police believe he is armed.
Lechner is described by police as a 37-year-old white male, standing apporximently 5' 11" tall and weighing 150 lbs. He was blonde hair and brown eyes. Police said Lechner has three tattoo tears on his face and both legs and forearms are covered with tattoos.
He was last known to be wearing dark blue jean shorts with a white t-shite and a fitted Detroit hat. Lechner was also was wearing red and white gym shoes, police said.
