Dundee, Mich. (WWJ) -- If you've misplaced some money recently, here's your chance to get it back.
The Dundee Police Department is reaching out to the public as it works to determine who dropped a "large amount of cash" in the Downtown Dundee area.
Police said the money was discovered Thursday by a good Samaritan who did the right thing and turned it in to police.
Now, the owner can collect it, as long as they have the details — which police are not sharing with the public.
"If you lost money and believe it is yours, you will have to contact the Dundee Police Department and describe the denomination and amount," police said, in a social media post, adding: "Thank you to the good Samaritan who turned it in."
Dundee is a village in Monroe County, located west of the City of Monroe.
The phone number for the Dundee PD is 734-243-7070.
