A Pontiac man has died after he was shot in the bedroom of a home on Central Avenue.
Brian Keith Washington Jr., 25, was shot in the neck at approximately 10 p.m. Sunday night, according to the Oakland County Sheriff Department. A person in the home called police and reported the shooting.
Detectives discovered shell casings outside of a bedroom window, according to a statement from the Sheriff Department.
Deputies and Waterford Regional Fire Department paramedics performed CPR on Washington, who was pronounced dead at the hospital a short time after he was transported.
A reward of up to $2,000 has been posted for information leading to the arrest of the person or persons involved.
Anyone with information about the shooting, or who may have heard or seen something about 10 p.m. in the 300 block of Central Ave. is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-SPEAK-UP. Tipsters remain anonymous.
