PONTIAC (WWJ) -- A 63-year-old Pontiac woman who had not been seen by her family for nearly two weeks has been found dead, according to the Oakland County Sheriff's Office.

Officials said the body of Vivian Ann Powell was found shortly before 3 p.m. Thursday by a family member, in the 100 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. in Pontiac.

According to a news release by the sheriff's office on Friday, Powell was fully clothed, wearing a coat, and there were no signs of trauma or foul play.

Officials said Powell was last seen by her family on Dec. 3, and they reported her missing on Dec. 11.

She had a history of being gone for several days, the sheriff's office noted.

OCSO deputies had been actively searching for Powell at locations she was known to frequent, the sheriff's office said, and had worked to contact her friends and acquaintances. A law enforcement bulletin was also sent out to surrounding law enforcement agencies when she was reported missing.

It's not yet clear how Powell died.

An autopsy was conducted by the Oakland County Medical Examiner on Friday, but the cause and manner of death are still pending.

Powell's family told detectives that Powell had significant health issues.
