PONTIAC (WWJ) A private jet ran off the runway at Oakland County International Airport in Pontiac.
A county spokesperson tells WWJ it happened during the morning of Friday, June 12, as the plane attempted to abort takeoff after detecting a rudder issue. It hit several navigation lights and came to a stop off the runway.
Authorities said the plane was carrying two pilots and a passenger. No one was hurt.
As of Friday morning, the left runway at the airport is closed for investigation and cleanup.
