LIVONIA (WWJ) -- A man wanted for a pair of home invasions that caused a stir in Livonia last month is now in custody, according to authorities.

Livonia Police said they identified and arrested the suspect accused in two back-to-back home invasions on May 13 and May 14.

In both cased, the homeowners described the suspect as wearing a "white protective-style jumpsuit," like those worn by painters and mechanics.

According to authorities, the suspect pushed down one of the homeowners after she confronted him, then ran away.

WWJ Newsradio 950 spoke with the woman, Victoria Williams, who said encountered the man on the side of her house.

"I saw he had a screwdriver in his hand and he had on black gloves, everything was covered," she said.

Williams called 911, she said, before the man grabbed her by her shirt, pushed her down, and ran away.

"It makes you think like, I live in Livonia, it's never gonna happen here and then it does and that's your 'Oh my God' moment," Williams said. [Read more].
