DETROIT (WWJ) -- It may not be much, but Southeast Michigan is expected to see its first snow of the season over the next couple of days.
It could be a bit of a mix, as AccuWeather is calling for a rain or snow shower in Metro Detroit late Wednesday night, although most of the overnight hours are expected to remain relatively quiet.
Looking ahead, AccuWeather Meteorologist Joe Lundberg said Thursday will be breezy and colder with clouds and a couple of rain or snow showers and a high near 40. "If we're going to get anything that would coat the ground, that would probably be tomorrow night," Lundberg said.
Friday, will be a breezy, chilly day with some rain mixed with more snow showers possible during the day.
Overall, most areas of Metro Detroit are only expected to see about an inch of snow, although the National Weather Service stressed that even that's still uncertain.
AccuWeather says the lowest overnight low over the next few days is expected to be 34 degrees, missing the freezing point.
Detroit Metro Airport and Detroit City Airport have yet to record this year's first freeze.
