GROSSE POINTE FARMS (WWJ) -- There's a security alert for people living in the Grosse Pointes.

The Grosse Pointe Farms Department of Public Safety is reminding residents to always lock their cars, after a rash of recent crimes in the area.

Since last Saturday, police said there have been more than 12 incidents involving items being stolen out of unlocked vehicles.

Police on Wednesday sharde a photo of three suspects in recent recent incidents in the area of Mack Avenue near Moross. Specifically, police said Belanger, Hillcrest, Manor, and Ridgemont streets all experienced thefts.

Detectives are looking into leads, but said a car is dropping off the suspects, who then quickly check car door handles and grab whatever they can before leaving.
