DETROIT (WWJ) -- A “global announcement” today will bring two famous Michigan musicians back home!
The Red Hot Chili Peppers revealed on Thursday their 2022 Global Stadium Tour will make a stop at Comerica Park on August 14, along with supporting acts The Strokes and Thundercat.

The rock group has not played Detroit since February of 2017 when they performed at Joe Louis Arena.
As fans of the band know, both singer Anthony Kiedis and drummer Chad Smith have Michigan ties, hailing from Grand Rapids and Bloomfield Hills, respectively.
Tickets go on sale Friday, October 15 at 10 a.m. and can be purchased at Tigers.com/RHCP, the Comerica Park box office, and Tickets.com.
