REDFORD TOWNSHIP (WWJ) Police in Redford Township are calling on residents to come forward to help them solve a string of break-ins.

Redford Police said the vehicle break-ins occurred in the early morning hours of Tuesday, June 2, in the area of Inkster to Beech Daly and 5 Mile to 6 Mile.

Authorities said residents made "several police reports", but they also suspect several more victims may be out there.

Police encourage anyone who found their vehicle rummaged through or items taken from it to file a report at the front desk of the police department. Officers have located several stolen objects and hope to return them to their rightful owners.

If you have any security footage of masked suspects on June 2 between midnight and 6 a.m. or relevant information to the investigation, please call Detective Short at (313) 587-4866.
