RIVERVIEW (WWJ) — Students at Riverview High School have been sent home for the day after bullets were reportedly found in a bathroom Tuesday morning.
Reports on social media say police were called to the high school — near Longsdorf and Krause — and searched classrooms.
While a Riverview police spokesperson could confirm whether bullets were found in the school, they told the WWJ newsroom the students were dismissed for the rest of the day.
It was not immediately clear how many bullets were reported to be in the school or if there were any threats made.
Police officials said they expect to share more information in a press release later Tuesday afternoon.
