No, it's not a clubbing song. It's a recommendation from the Oakland County Road Commission.
The Road Commission (OCRC) is asking any residents with a mailbox on a post to give it a good shake before the month ends.
If the mailbox wobbles when shaken, it needs to be repaired or replaced before the snow flies, the OCRC said. When clearing snow; the force of plowing can damage, or worse yet, destroy your mailbox.
The OCRC said it is not responsible for any damage done to mailboxes while plowing.
The OCRC said shake your mailbox sooner rather than later, so you can replace your post while the ground is still soft.
