BROWNSTOWN TWP (WWJ) -- Police are investigating a freeway shooting that happened along I-75 involving a semi truck early this morning.
The truck driver called 911 just before 2:00 a.m. on Thursday and said he was traveling southbound on I-75 near Dix-Toledo Highway when the driver of another vehicle started shooting at his truck.
The semi trailer was apparently hit multiple times by gunfire, and is being looked at as a possible road rage incident.
Michigan State Police closed the freeway for a few hours to search for evidence, but that stretch of I-75 has since been reopened.
The shooting remains under investigation by police.
