ROCHESTER HILLS (WWJ) -- Tips are wanted in the case of an Oakland County teenager who went missing after school last Friday.
Deputies with the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office are searching for 17-year-old Janella Arlene Nicholas of Rochester Hills, who hasn't been seen since the afternoon of Nov. 8.
Officials say Nicholas is a senior at the Rochester Community Schools, attending the Alternative Center for Education, known as "ACE."
She was seen getting off the school bus on Friday at about 3 p.m. but did not return home. Detectives believe she got into an older model Jeep Cherokee with an unknown person, and left the area.
Nicholas was last seen wearing a light-colored hooded sweatshirt. She is described as 5'5'' tall and weighing 135 lbs., with brown hair and brown eyes.
Detectives believe she may be on the west side of the state, the sheriff's office said in a Monday news release.
Anyone who may have seen this missing teen, or who may know where she is, is asked to call the OCSO at 248-858-4950.
