(WWJ) A now-former police officer in Macomb County is facing criminal charges after investigators say they found child pornography in his home, earlier this year.

The Michigan State Police Second District announced that 23-year-old Issiah Joseph Rumbley was arraigned at the 37th District Court in Warren in connection with a child sexually abusive material investigation.

Back in December of last year, MSP said its Second District Special Investigation Section began an investigation into possible child exploitation crimes, which implicated Rumbley.

In February of this year, evidence was uncovered when a search warrant was executed at the suspect's home, according to MSP.

Police said Rumbley was employed as a police officer in the City of Roseville at the time of the warrant.

He was arraigned Tuesday on two counts: Using a computer to commit a crime, and Child Sexually Abusive Material - Possession, which carries a maximum sentenced of four years in prison, and fines of up to $10,000.

Bond was set at $5,000 cash.

MSP said the investigation is ongoing.
