DETROIT (WWJ) Before Santa left on his sleigh-ride around the world, he and Mrs. Claus stopped by Children’s Hospital of Michigan in Detroit to visit the newest arrivals in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).
The nurses of Children’s Hospital of Michigan dressed the NICU babies to surround them with the holiday spirit. The babies were photographed by volunteers from T. Rosa Studios LLC in Ferndale.
“Now their families will have beautiful remembrance pictures of baby’s first Christmas with Santa and Mrs. Claus as the tiny patients grow big and strong!” Tammi Battaglia, spokesperson for the Detroit Medical Center (DMC), said in the press release.

Children’s Hospital of Michigan is located at St. Antoine and Mack— and is one of eight DMC hospitals: DMC Receiving Hospital, DMC Harper University Hospital, DMC Heart Hospital, DMC Huron Valley-Sinai Hospital, DMC Hutzel Women’s Hospital, DMC Rehabilitation Institute of Michigan, and DMC Sinai-Grace Hospital.
