DETROIT (WWJ) -- A heavy contingent of law enforcement officers — including several SWAT teams — converged on a home on Detroit's northwest side Wednesday morning.

WWJ's Charlie Langton reported it was quite a scene on Heyden Street, in the area of Eight Mile Rd. and Evergreen, as officers were executing a search warrant.

The multi-jurisdictional operation involved multiple SWAT teams, Detroit Police, Bloomfield Township Police, the Oakland County Sheriff's Office and K9 units.

"Guns were drawn, camouflaged sheriffs, dogs out there, helicopter overhead," Langton said. "Yes, this was a very large operation."

WWJ Newsradio 950 is being told that that the raid was part of an investigation by the Michigan Attorney General's Office, but very few details are known at this time.

"We don't have any confirmation if arrests were made, but that's a possibility," Langton said. "Authorities only say that this is a multi-jurisdictional task force executing a search warrant."

More information about this case is expected to be released later Wednesday.
