(WWJ) A freeway shooting, believed to be spurred by road rage, is under investigation in Romulus.
Michigan State Police (MSP) say shots were fired on EB I-94 and Vining Rd. around 2:50 p.m.
MSP say a brown vehicle was involved in a traffic altercation with a maroon vehicle. A woman in the brown car opened fire.
A third car, that had no involvement in the altercation, was struck multiple times. The front seat passenger was struck in the knee. The driver pulled to the shoulder and called for help.
The victim was taken to the hospital in stable condition.
The suspect fled the scene, exiting on Wayne.

There have been some two dozen freeway shootings in Metro Detroit since June.
