(WWJ) Singer Ted Nugent, a metro Detroit native, announced in a Facebook video he has tested positive for COVID-19.
Nugent, 72, filmed the video against the backdrop of a sunset outside of his Texas home where he is currently quarantined.
“I have had flu symptoms for the last ten days. I thought I was dying, just a clusterf***. Hey, planet Earth, my name is Ted Nugent…I was officially tested positive for COVID-19.”
He tested positive on Monday.

He said he felt so sick that he had to “crawl” out of bed. Nugent said he has not taken the vaccine because he does not trust it, and falsely claimed the public has not been told what’s inside of it. See the ingredients of the vaccine here.
He moved forward with the “Ted Nugent Spirit Campfire” despite not feeling well.
“I can’t believe I’m feeling good enough to do this tonight…I’m not really, but I’m going to do it anyway. I’m notorious through plowing through any obstacles, including a positive test for Chinese-19.”
In his Christmas message on Facebook, he referred to the pandemic as a “scamming pandemic.”
Nugent, also known as the Motor City Madman, was born in Redford Township. He's known for a number of songs including "Motor City Madhouse," "Smokescreen," "Jailbait" and "Homebound."
