(WWJ) Authorities say two 39-year-old men were arguing at a Coney Island in Detroit, when one of them opened fire, killing the other.
James Dumas of Southfield is facing murder and other charged in connection with the slaying at around 3 a.m. on July 18, in the 18800 block of Joseph Campau St.
Called to the restaurant on reports of gunfire, Detroit Police officers found Denard Richmond of Detroit unresponsive, and suffering from a gunshot wound.
He was pronounced dead by EMS at the scene.
The Wayne County Prosecutor's Office said Dumas was arraigned in 36th District Court on July 22 on the following counts: Second degree murder, carrying a concealed weapon, and two counts of using a firearm in the commission of a felony.
Bond was set at $100,000 cash/surety with the condition that Dumas have no contact with witnesses if he's released.
Dumas will be back in court for a Probable Cause Conference scheduled for August 19, followed by a Preliminary Examination on August 26.
Police and prosecutors did not say what the two men were fighting about.
