GREENWOOD TWP, MICH (WWJ) A St. Clair County man died in a tractor accident.
The St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office said deputies responded to a home in Greenwood Township on Logana Road near Yale Street on Friday (5/24) around 6:30 p.m. for reports of an unresponsive man.
Greenwood Township is in the thumb area about 70 miles north of Detroit.
The man’s son, 23, found his father lying in the field, according to the sheriff’s office.
Further investigation revealed the victim, 57, had been tilling a field when he fell from his tractor and was run over by it.
First responders rushed him to Port Huron McClaren Hospital where he died from his injuries, the sheriff’s office said.
His name has not been released. Alcohol and drugs are not believed to be factors.
