2 injured after domestic incident ends in stabbing at downtown Ann Arbor hotel: police

Police have blocked of a section of downtown Ann Arbor on Friday morning as they investigate a reported stabbing that occurred during the overnight hours.

ANN ARBOR (WWJ) - A man and woman were injured early Friday morning after a domestic incident spiraled into a stabbing at an Ann Arbor hotel, police said.

The Ann Arbor Police Department said the incident unfolded in a room the Embassy Hotel located at 200 E. Huron Street near Forest in downtown Ann Arbor. Crime scene tape was erected and the roads were closed off as police investigated.


Police said they found a 39-year-old female and a 55-year-old male with non-life-threatening injuries. Both were transported to a local hospital for treatment.

Investigators said the stabbing stemmed from a domestic incident between the man and woman. No one was was believed to have been involved.

According to police, there is no threat to the public at this time. The incident remains under investigation.
