Sterling Heights police say boy who went missing early Thursday morning has been located

STERLING HEIGHTS (WWJ) -- The Sterling Heights Police Department is says a young boy who disappeared early Thursday morning has been found.

Officers were searching for 13-year-old Nolan, who was reported last seen around 1 a.m. on July 10 near Hall Rd. and Duffield, east of Van Dyke Ave. in Sterling Heights.

Police did not say why he was in the area at that time, but asked the community to be on the lookout.

In an update later in the day, the SHPD said Nolan was "located safely."

They didn't say where he was found, and no further information was released.
